Cork Flooring Care and Maintenance

General care:

- Place door nats at entrance to room, inorder to avoid tracking in dirt.
- Place furniture pads under th feet of all furniture inorder to avoid indentations.
- Sweep the floor daily. Fine particles o sand and dust will scratch the finish on cork floors.
- Clean up spills immediately. Never allow liqued to sit on cork floors, as water will seriously damage the floor.
- Damp mop the floor at least once a week or as required. Be sure to always wring out the mop, as excessive water will damage the floor.
- Use only non abrasive soaps and cleaning materials on the floor. (always follow manufacturers recomended guidelines.

Wax tiles can be treated with a good quality paste wax and buffed with an electric buffing machine with a lamb's wool pad. For heavy cleaning, remove old dirt and wax with a purple abrading pad and reapply wax.

Polyurethane floors can be buffed to retsore the original luster. If needed, polyurehane floors can be ferinished. ( always refer to manufacturers recomended guidelines)

Varnished tiles can be treated with a liquid polish (never wax) and buffed.

With proper care and maintenance your Cork floor should last a lifetime!
