Cork Flooring Warranties
Cork does not carry a traditional flooring warranty. As cork is naturally occurring, and often does not receive a factory finish, it does not come with any warranty aside from a manufacturing defect warranty, which generally runs between five to ten years. With that in mind, below is a list of issues that are not covered by a cork warranty.
1. The Cork finish is not warranted against normal wear and tear, scratching
and denting.
2. Cork is not warranted against fading or excessive color variation.
3. Cork is not warranted against mold, mildew or any other form of fungus that
may result in deterioration of the floor.
4. Cork is not warranted against damage due to moisture or liquid penetration.
5. Cork is not warranted against improper installation or use of incorrect
adhesive.
6. Cork is not warranted against problems resulting from unsuitable sub floor
conditions or insufficient preparation.
7. Cork is not warranted against warping or cracking.
8. Cork is not warranted against improper maintenance routine and use of improper
maintenance products.
