Witex Laminate Flooring

Witex flooring began as a family owned German company in 1978 producing laminated furniture components. After years of success in this category, they invented a way of making direct pressure laminate flooring with a high-density coreboard. Today, over 70% of the laminate sold around the world is made this way. Witex floors are sold in over 60 countries worldwide. Witex entered the US market in 1996 and has been gaining market share ever since.

One of the great benefits of shopping Witex , is that you can choose from a wide range of features and benefits to find the product that is the perfect fit for you. Below is a list of new innovations they have developed.

LocTec Glueless construction:
Witex floors are installed without glue, staples or nails. The floor can be walked on as soon as installation is complete. The tonge and groove joint mechanism is impregnated with Parafin wax, which gives the floor additional water proofing against everyday spills.

Sanitized: This latest innovation from Witex flooring is an industry first. Sanitized protects your home against the spread f germs. It creates a safer, allergy friendly living environment, cannot be washed away and lasts for the lifetime of the floor.

Aqua Protect – built in water resistance
Witex was one of the first companies to recognize the need to protect laminate flooring from moisture and every day spills. Aqua Protect is a chemical composition that resists swelling of the flooring core due to moisture and water damage. This process keeps the floors looking great under spills, splashes and the occasional dishwasher malfunction, by resisting moisture with the densest coreboard available and outperforms other flooring in moisture prone ares, like kitchens and bathroom.

Sound absorption – The addition of a silent comfort backing reduces impact noises as well as sounds within the room. Witex uses this patented sound-absorbing system to provide a softer, cushioned walk.

Surface Armor – Witex is finished with Aluminum Oxide which protects them against marking. This surface finish lasts for the lifetime of the prouct and makes for flooring that is exteremly durable and easy to maintain.

Witex have developed a number of features that gives the look and appael of real hardwood. The addition of surface texture not only gives the flooring the look and feel of hardwood, but also adds slip resistance and depth. ( Town & Country, Casa and Speedy Elite). They utilize registered embossing to give their floor true-to-grain texture that matches the actual grain of the décor for the most realistic wood look (Modern Accents). The addition of a beveled edge enhances the seams between boards and adds a true hardwood flooring dimension to the floor (Modern Accnts).

Edge Protect
The addition of Parafin wax to the tongue and groove of these floors adds extra topical water resistance to everyday spills. Witex outperforms other flooring in moisture prone areas such as bathrooms and kitchens.
